Glentress this Sunday
Since the weather is looking bliss and there’s been a lot of interest, I’m off to GT on Sunday morning. I aim to be there for 9.30am. I’m not fussed on routes, whether it’s the main trails or the route Sanny suggested.
The space in my car has been taken, but please post up if you can car share. Who else is joining me?

Its a pretty easy course and fantastically organised event. The sun usually shines (can’t promise that though) and the pit banter is great. Oh, and theres usually a bbq, beer and whisky there too. A team of 3 is great as you get a chance to refuel and you always have someone to chat to before your next lap. All the info’s here

A number of folk are still to collect their tops which I ordered in September. Could the following members please get in touch –

Iain Ferguson – 2 x Large short sleeve Free Ride – 60
Bradley – 1 x Extra Large long sleeve Free Ride – £32
Paivi – 1 x Medium short sleeve & 1 x Medium long sleeve XC – £62
Bradley is the only one to make contact regarding this and I’m seeing Paivi at the weekend, but could the rest of you please contact me and we can arrange collection/delivery and payment.
We have the following tops as spares should anyone wish to purchase one –

The Oak Tree Inn in Balmaha have been in touch to say that, due to a cancellation, there is a 4 bed bunk room free for Saturday night. So if anybody not yet signed up fancies coming, move fast and you will still be able to make the ball!

A great day out up a wild and blustery old kilpatricks hills yeasterday good call Gerry /Gav. The carvery did meet expectations Gerry..sure you’re not on commission.My rear hub trashed must have been the weight penalty after the carvery.Next time hopefully better weather.Still central heating via nips of 12yr old highland park pushed me through the worst..hicc…it’s the way forward.
ps// natures kiss recovery cream (£8.99 in all good bike shops) rubbed into tired legs absolute bliss(certainly beats the old method of a “rub doon wi a cauld pie”) ready to go at it again except rear wheel in evans for rebuild.
