Biking down Ben Vorlich film
Here’s a wee film I made of us descending down Vorlich. It’s 10 minutes or so and involves me crashing at around the half way mark. I’ve slowed the crash down for the sadists amongst you. Enjoy.

More 25th Anniversary Photos
Well, I think we can say that was a successful weekend away! A great location, great weather (eventually), great rides to suit all abilities, great food & drink, great entertainment (all you need is penny farthings & a guitar) and great company.

The Chairman’s Speech
Ben Vorlich & Ben Ledi – 25th Weekend

It was a tough climb more or less straight out the blocks or for me a tough walk, though I have discovered a better way to carry the bike, wheels forward. The rocks are quite loose making it extra challenging. There is also no warm up in the descent, it is a straight down from the word go. We all made it down with not too much damage.

Westie overnight
About a week ago I got an email from Finbarr to say that he was coming over from Ireland to do the Westie, leaving on thursday night and had bought a ticket for the sleeper train from FW on the Friday. So the die had been cast. I couldnt let him do it on his own so I enrolled trusty Al too. And the weather just got better, so that was a huge bonus. Continue reading
Devils Staircase/Ciaran Path shots

Devil’s Staircase / Ciaran Path Ride Report
I’ve been wanting to do this route (gps: http://connect.garmin.com/course/1854953) for a while and I finally persuaded three others to give it a bash. Driving up past The Loch the clouds started to lift and we arrived in Glencoe to a perfect summer’s morning to tackle this classic route. Continue reading
Carn Laith off Blair Atholl
In a change of plan Chris and I headed up to Blair Atholl today and tackled Carn Laith
off Glen Tilt for 5hrs. A mixture of Hikie Bikie(this one was steep), loose rocky descent, off piste singletrack, open hill top cycling and the obligatory Glen Tilt river crossing.

Here’s a selection of photos from what proved to be a great day out:-http://www.flickr.com/groups/glasgowmbc/pool/with/7617943532
There’s several other nice hilltops in that area to take in. Next, Carn a’ Chlamain. It’s worth a look.
