Really good ride last night up the Whangie. Dry-ish trails and fantastic sunset views over Loch Lomond. Really good turn out as well, with some folk opting for the Whangie route and others staying in and around the park.
I have a road cut long sleeved one, in XL which is too big. I’ve worn it a couple of times so it’s in just about perfect condition. Does anyone want to swap with a L one, again road cut, either short or long sleeved ?
7pm at the usual car park
Last October we did a big trip down to the lakes staying in the YHA in Keswick. It was a top weekend with great trails a brilliant weather. I’ve dug a few pics out of the WordPress media library. It would be great to do something similar this year. October is a good time to go, as the Lakes are slightly quieter and there is a chance of decent weather* before winter sets in. There is loads of varied riding in the Lakes so there will be options to suit all abilities and tastes. It’s actually usually even quicker to drive to the Lakes than Fort William which is a bonus.
Is anyone up for an Ochils ride on 25th (see calendar for details)?
Does anyone fancy a wee change and heading out to carron valley or kilpatricks this week?
With the deadline now past, we had a grand total of 2 people registering an interest. So those getting the free tickets are:
Iain Clow and Me.
I know the draw was fixed.
Hi,
As its been sooooo long since I made a week day club ride, thought I’d see if anyone planning to head out tonight?
Got my bike in the back of the car, and thinking I’ll park up at Mugdock and ride down to car park if there is likely to anyone going out. This will make it easier for me to trek back home to BofA. If not, will just ride from there.
cheers,
Sam

Just a quick reminder that GMBC have 2 free tickets for the above on the 10th August. Cut-off for names is 12:00 noon tomorrow so that the draw can be made and names sent on.
Tickets include a reception and informal tour of the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
Get your names in as, at the moment, it’s me and Iain going.
I’ll be hacking around Mugdock (probably Dumgoyne loop) on the CX bike this afternoon from about 4 if anyone fancies it?
