Lennox ride anyone?

I’m planning on doing the Lennox forest trails on Sunday 13th morning- my default option is to start at Kirkintilloch although if it suits the masses better I can ride across to milngavie for the start.  It’ll be a 9am start to let me get home for 12ish.

Anyone fancy it? I’ll be gentle on the climbs, some interesting descending but some fairly chilled out too.

Arran end to end – sun 16th August.

This is a really good ride, I rode it 3 years ago with the Arran bike club guys.

It’s a long day in the saddle, not hugely technical but big miles and big smiles!. Details available on ABC Facebook page, but in short –

7am ferry, ride up over the Boguillie road to Lochranza for a 9.30 – 10 start, then it’s pretty much all off road to Kildonan and a pint of Arran blonde in the hotel!. Then it’s either a blast back to catch the last ferry (19.20) or there is a bunkhouse along by the lagg hotel. About 90km all in, maybe another 20 on top back to Brodick.

Unfortunately, I can’t make it but highly recommend it. The bike club guys sorted out the transit of our kit to the bunkhouse last time, I’m sure they would do the same this time.

For sale – Specialized Centrum commuter bike

DSC_0002Hi,

I intended to use this bike to go to the shops, gym etc, but the reality is that it’s slightly too small for me and I never use it. It’s probably done <50 miles.

Grey, 17″ frame (would suit someone smaller than 5’6″), 3 gears (hub gears), mechanical disc brakes, flat pedals. Photos to follow!

Summer classic: Cobbler + Glen Loin

Hi Guys,

Weather forecast for Wednesday looks good so I’m planning to do more technical stuff like Cobbler + evening ride (lights required ?!) on nice single track  “Allt Coire Grogain loop also known as Glen Loin”

Any volunteers ??. Meeting point is a car park under the Cobbler – other days possible (apart from weekends which are reserved for smth longer) also weather permitted.

Cheers

Krzysztof

Physio

Hey,

Someone recommended a physio for cyclists on one of the local rides a wee while ago. I think the physio was linked to a triathlon club. Looking to get hooked up for advice on shoulder injury.

Any recommendations welcome.

Cheers,

Eilidh

Club Top Update

Okay folks, tonight has confirmed what I had feared. Pactimo seem to have messed up the sizing of the short sleeve jerseys with the effect that they seem to be a size too small. I found this out last night when I tried my kit on last night. While the long sleeve jersey is as expected, the short sleeve jersey is quite a bit smaller. I have been in contact with Pactimo who have assured me that they will sort this out however, this may take a couple of weeks. There may be something we can do to get as many people in the size of jerseys they require. I will update the situation tomorrow.
