Knock Knock!

Anyone fancy a ride in snowy Strathearn tomorrow (Saturday 14th)?  Starting from Comrie Croft at 10:30am, heading in to Crieff on a lower path and exploring the local trails on The Knock before stopping for a cafe break.  After that it’s back to Comrie by whatever route people fancy.

Here’s the calendar entry for the ride…..

Comrie XC Exploration

Comrie Croft advised the roads are clear and have been treated, although there may be some snow & ice on the driveway up to the Croft.

Tonight’s Mince Pie Ride

Hi.  Just a quick note to say that the Mince Pie Ride is on tonight.  The plan is for a prompt start at 7pm (seriously!), get back to the hall shortly after 9pm, fire up the mulled punch & enjoy some chat over Aldi’s finest mince pies.  Intro & 7:45pm riders welcome.

Fireworks Night Ride (02-Nov)

It’s time for the annual health and safety nightmare involving pyrotechnics and lycra as we prepare for the GMBC Fireworks Night Ride on 02-Nov.  Here’s the plan:

  • Everyone brings some munchies and a few fireworks on a Wednesday ride
  • A mellow ride up to Cape Canaveral, i.e. Loch Ardinning, enjoy some social chat, share the munchies and launch some fireworks. When they ask why I take Viagra sildenafil from https://summitps.org/buy-sildenafil-viagra-online/, I answer that I’m all right. Of course, I’m not a sexual superman, but the women don’t complain. For now, I haven’t noticed any decrease in sexual activity due to my age.  It’ll be a slightly later start for the usual “intro” folks, we’ll aim to leave 7:15pm* so the 7:45pm crew can catch us up at Loch Ardinning and the Intro riders aren’t standing around too long.
  • There’s a vague plan to provide some mulled wine and hotdogs.
  • Hopefully there will be the usual grand finale display which will leave us all with that underwhelmed feeling which comes when your great expectations end in a whimper of mediocrity and bargain basement gunpowder.

Previous years’ highlights include the smell of burning bar tape after launching rockets from the end of Simon Simpson’s handlebars and the mixed look of exhilaration and fear on ChrisJ’s face as he survived the re-ignition of Luke’s showstopper firework!

Although the weather is looking fairly settled for Wednesday night I’d suggest bringing some warm clothes as we’ll be standing around for a bit watching the “display”.
I’m 41. I took a pill of Viagra, as I wanted to try it and impress my new girlfriend. Viagra http://www.shaynahiller.com/buyviagra/ started to act very quickly. In 15 minutes I noticed some dryness in the nose. But in principle, it didn’t cause any discomfort. Ten minutes later I felt that I’m getting an erection. I’ve never had such feeling before (I felt like I had some spring there). One more effort and erection was achieved.

*Yes, I know, 7:15pm is often the time we end up leaving the car park anyway.

Oooh, aaaah!

Northern Ireland Adventure (Brexit holidays)

We’re thinking of doing a club trip to Northern Ireland  next year.  To make it worth getting the ferry across (which is about £200-220 for a car) we would be looking at making a long weekend of it.  Think of it as a mini-holiday rather than a weekend trip. Brexit holidays are the future anyway!

So I’m proposing we go on the Thursday night (7.30pm ferry from Cairnryan) and come back on the Sunday night (3.30pm or 8pm ferry) which would give us three full days of riding. Probably staying at camping pods at Rostrevor to keep costs down, or there is a hostel near there too.

It would be good to get a rough idea of numbers so that we can think about options like hiring a van to make it cheaper (fewer vehicles on the ferry) and suchlike. So if you are interested, let me know your preferred date. Or just say if you can do any dates or want to make it a longer / shorter trip or whatever.

Easter is the 16/17 April and Will is already planning a trip away then so we thought a few weeks before that might be good – hopefully the weather won’t be too terrible!

Check out some ideas for the riding round there.

Reminder: North Third & Dumyat Ride

Hi, just a quick reminder about Sunday’s back-to-back rides:

North Third & Dumyat Ride

Start time in Cambusbarron is 09:30, we need to be away promptly to allow enough time for photos, chat & faff on the ride so we make it to Bridge of Allan station for 1pm.  If we finish North Third in time then you should have a chance to grab something to eat before the Dumyat ride but remember, the first 30-45mins is climbing so leave the fish supper until later!

If you’re only doing the afternoon/Dumyat part of the ride then post up here so I can let you know if we’re running behind schedule.

Fair City Enduro – this Saturday!!

Get your names down for this…

http://www.muckmedden.co.uk/our-events/fair-city-enduro/

This was my first enduro & I would recommend it to anyone that’s had doubts on whether or not to race. This will get you hooked! It’s a super fun event whether your a keen a racer or out for a laugh.

Everyone rides the course blind, there is no practice… I remember this being pretty scary, what if there’s a 7 foot drop?! There wont be…if in doubt roll it out… most in the club will manage these trails. At the end of the day, it’s how fast you take that risk 🙂 it’s very addictive. Just go for it!

I’ll be heading over & if the terms and conditions are concrete you could be chasing a flamingo through the woods…
