Club Clothing Update

We had the club clothing launch at the hall last night and it was great to see so many old and new members up at the hall including a squad from Dales Cycles!  Thanks to Dales Cycles for bringing along a ton of cake too!  It seemed like the folks on both the Intro ride and Barry’s ride had a good time.  Thanks to all who came along.  For those who couldn’t make it here’s a wee summary of what was mentioned and what happens next:

  • You’ll be able to order your clothing online over a period of 3 weeks – I’m aiming to have the online order form in place by Monday.
  • Male & female sizing charts will be provided online plus Barry & I have samples of club tops available to try.  These samples are only the Cross-country (XC) style – not the baggier, Freeride (FR) style.  The sample tops are only in male fits I’m afraid.  These samples will be along at any rides we’re on in the next 3 weeks.
  • There are combinations of sleeve length, zip style and male & female fits to choose from, these will be listed on the order form.
  • Other clothing options shorts, gilets etc are still to be determined – hopefully I will have worked out what these options are to add them to the online form.
  • These other clothing options are dependent on the volumes being ordered as it can work out expensive to order low batch quantities.  Buffs are usually a popular addition so we’ll probably get a batch of these but we won’t take specific orders for them.
  • Pricing is still to be determined as it will depend on the final volume of the order but a club subsidy of £10 on the first top will apply.  We’re estimating approx £20 with the subsidy, £30-ish without.  Any other discounts or subsidies that are achieved will be passed on to club members.
  • Anyone who placed an order last night will have the chance to confirm their order online as part of the ordering process.
  • Payment details will be released when we’ve confirmed the pricing but it wil be by BACS and placing an order will be accepted as committing to paying for the top.
  • The design you see featured in the photos needs a few tweaks but nothing that will alter it dramatically so it’ll look pretty much as you see it.
