I’ve added this to the Calender:

It would be great to get a few folk out, looks like a great route in a stunning area. Not too far from Glasgow either.

A winter of not riding means I’m toiling for fitness, so I need to get my finger out. I’ll be doing this: http://www.gmbc.org.uk/event/sunday-road-ride/ on Sunday should anyone want to join me. Hopefully the weather will be OK – it looks like an improvement towards the end of the week. It can’t possibly be as bad as yesterday (Sunday)…
Other routes are available, so if you have a better idea I’m open to that.
Hi all,
I’ve been procrastinating for too long! Now, I’m fully committed to the adventure.
so there is a bit of chat on the Facebook page about a Club taster session, and a fair number of members have been through the accreditation sessions and ‘have the ticket’. There are Sunday slots for group bookings, so thinking we could get a slot maybe in March ? – this would probably need 15 people to commit.
I am happy to arrange and will speak to the Velo folk this week about what’s on offer/prices etc. The drop in sessions and accreditations are around £10 for an hour, which includes bike, helmet (road style only allowed) and shoes (Look Keo), so I’d reckon we would be looking at around a tenner a head.
Post up if interested, and I’ll update on possible dates that suit the majority and are available.
…as an alternative to soggy Mugdock ? I can be there for riding around 715 if there is any interest, but not going on my own !
Is anyone up for biking on Saturday morning at Cathkin Braes. Meet at 9.30 at the car park. Leave a comment if you’ll be there.

There’s no need to join GMBC to come along to your first few rides. The routes and durations vary to suit the conditions & those present. Covid restrictions permitting, tea, biscuits, changing facilities and bike wash are available afterwards. All you need is a well maintained off road suitable bike, a spare tube, pump and multi-tool and some enthusiasm.
Please use the GMBC Ride Form to sign up for a published ride.
Remember: no-helmet, no ride!
Update from Dawn:
Hi all,
Just wanted to confirm meeting times for the 19th January.
You will need to be at Bullands Coffee Shop no later than 10:20am on Saturday morning. The taxi will be arriving at 1030am to pick up the luggage. He is expecting to pick up approximately 20 odd bags so I’ve put in a request for an Estate car. If you’re no there for 1030am then you’ll be pedaling yer own luggage to Balmaha and over Conic Hill, so best no be late 🙂 The luggage will be taken into the Oak Tree and they will stow it in a safe place for collection when we arrive nice n muddy later on. As title really, anyone fancy coming along (13/1/13)?
I’m planning on heading over early doors, but can offer a lift from the West End. Also happy to meet up over there if you don’t fancy the early start.
