Last Easter a big group ventured to Skye to enjoy the scenery and ride some amazing trails. 2014 is fast approaching so any ideas for next Easter?

Big Annual Lakes Trip?
Last October we did a big trip down to the lakes staying in the YHA in Keswick. It was a top weekend with great trails a brilliant weather. I’ve dug a few pics out of the WordPress media library. It would be great to do something similar this year. October is a good time to go, as the Lakes are slightly quieter and there is a chance of decent weather* before winter sets in. There is loads of varied riding in the Lakes so there will be options to suit all abilities and tastes. It’s actually usually even quicker to drive to the Lakes than Fort William which is a bonus.
Arran Weekender 7/8th Sep – Please confirm!
Hi,
Thanks to everyone who expressed an intrest in this trip. Apologies for the delay in following up the accomodation, too much biking and work going on.
The best bet seems to be the camping pods at Broddick Castle. There are two large 4 person pods available that weekend and I have provisionally booked them. They look pretty luxurious as these things go, and have full use of the facilities at the nearby lodge (read more here if you want). Cost of £45 per pod per night, so if we have 8 people it’ll be £11 per night, or £15 if we have 3 in each etc. Accomodation will be for Friday night (6th Sep) and Saturday (7th). Continue reading
Glen Tilt on Sunday anyone?
Another Top Tuesday Ride
It was good to see a few folk out tonight, we managed a good sized loop up over Windy Hill and back through the trails at the back of Baljaffray. Not everyone had ridden over this way before so it made a nice change from Mugdock. Things were still riding well up on Windy Hill, and there were some crazy cloud formations over Glasgow that threatened a deluge. Despite the prophets of doom on Facebook, it stayed dry until we were safely under cover in the Burnbrae.
