Shoot the breeze here.
Sunday morning 10am ride?
Is anyone keen for a 10am ride round Mugdock tomorrow?
I’m coming from Ayrshire so 9am is tight for me. Is there a 9am ride planned anyway?
The weather looks good, it’s perfect riding weather.
Cheers

AGM – 30th November, St Andrew’s Church Hall
Hi all,
Just to clarify some points recently brought up regarding the AGM-
– It’s a great place to give feedback to the committee and have your say as a member if you’ve been unable to get in touch with us some other way for whatever reason, for instance if you live under a rock and/or never ride with the club.
– In the interests of getting the best views, including those of any former members, the committee welcome anyone with anything to say to the AGM, member or otherwise.
– Note that if you wish to vote on any matters in the AGM (or in the event of an EGM), you MUST be a member of the club. Filled out membership forms and cash can be given to a committee member at any point prior to the start of the AGM (including on the night ten minutes before), (although why you would have waited 11 months to pay up is beyond the comprehension of the committee).
Hopefully I’ll see plenty of you out on the trails before then. I know I’m already looking forward to the firework night ride.
Cheers,
Chairman Luke
Aviemore accommodation booked
Due to the number of folks going, we’ve had to move slightly further afield and have booked out Ardenbeg Bunkhouse in Grantown-on-Spey. Everybody that has confirmed that they are going should have received an email with instructions for how to pay your deposit. If you think that you are going and you have not received such an email, let me know ASAP, either here or email me directly.
We might have a couple of spare beds for anybody else that would like to come. Again, contact either me or Dawn.

Heads up for the students & cost conscious
Hello all,
Currently there’s a sale on at Alpine Bikes. Notable offers include 50% off Fox clothing and heavily reduced Bontrager Clothing. Some Kryptonite D Locks for £25 (I bought one, normally £45 & comes with 4 foot cable). Sales includes Gore, Endura & Altura gear. There’s also discounts on branded helmets and Shimano / Bonty shoes.
I also found this link on Bikeradar today, it’s a heads up to the next Aldi bike bumf sell off!

I’ve bought a lot of their bits & bops over the last few years. I can vouch for their clothing, especially the merino tops, jerseys, socks & gloves. The light sets are generally basic/bulky and purely for commuting. The locks are pants along with the track pumps (if there are any this time). The pannier racks & bike stands are very good value.
Each shop only gets allocated a small amount of stock for each product and the sell out very quickly. So best to get there on the day of release and as early as possible.
Cheers

Aviemore Trip – 4th-7th November- Head Count
Hi All,
Okay, some work has been done to find accommodation for this trip. At the moment there is around 20 people committed or have said they may want to come.
In order for us to find accommodation large enough for a group this size, we need to book it very soon. Therefore, can I ask you all to fill in this spreadsheet with the days you wish to come by Friday 23rd (this Friday).
If you are unsure, I’m afraid we will have to book for those committed or we won’t get anywhere. For those who do commit by Friday, it is expected that you will pay any deposit required, or find someone else to take your slot.
Sorry, for the time-scales on this but if we want to go, we’ve got to move fast or we’ll all be camping!!
Cheers,
Sam
GMBC Yoga/Pilates Classes – Update – 60/90 mins
Folks, I am hoping to get things finalised soon regarding the GMBC yoga/pilates classes, i.e. every second Wed night during the winter. For those interested, can you let me know if you would prefer a 60 min class at £4, or a 90 min class at £6. My preference is for a 90 min class to make the travel time more worthwhile. I will go with what the majority want. If you could lt me know ASAP that would be good. Cheers Gerry
