Drumlanrig Castle Marathon(s) 3rd August 2014

It seems as though the Merrida/CRC Marathon series has been resuscitated as ‘MTB Marathon Series 2014’ and they’ve got a round at Drumlanrig.

Distances of 25-100km, more info here: http://www.mtb-marathon.co.uk/events/3rd-august-2014-drumlanrig-castle-scottish-borders.html

Even better, the picture on the website shows sun, so that’s legally binding I imagine.

Anyone else fancy it?

Tuesday Ride?

Hi – who’s up for a ride this Tuesday then?  If you fancy it then I’ll see you up at the hall for 7pm.  Usual rules apply: no helmet no ride, bring lights, last one back washes the mugs…..

…..OK, might’ve made up that last one. 🙂

Tonight’s the (Wed) night!

Anyone venturing out tonight for a spin in the wet and gloopy stuff?

Comeon, you know you want to……

Post up to confirm numbers.

Meet at the Bearsden & Milngavie Sports Club car park at 7:45, ready to go with lights (and jelly babies to hand out during the ride won’t go amiss)!  Back to the hall for a well-deserved warm cup of tea (and a pint?) afterwards.

Tuesday Ride

Hi.  Forecast looks wet for tomorrow but I’m going to head up anyway (ever the optimist).  Anyone else coming along?  We have a new rider who is planning on joining us.  If you have a spare set of lights then please email me or post up here.  Thanks.  7pm at the new hall if you’re coming along.

Balmaha Baggage

Lorna is driving up to Balmaha on Saturday and has agreed to take the bags up with her and bring them back on Sunday, probably dropping them off at the new hall for collection when you get back to Milngavie. Its only a saloon car so if you could keep bags as small as possible (No big rucksacks please) then hopefully we can fit them all in. She also has to be away by 10.15am at the latest so try and be there early, Thank You.

3 More Bunkhouse Spaces For Balmaha

Hi Folks – we had filled the bunkhouse but following some reoom re-planning we have freed up 3 spaces in the bunkhouse.  As space is now at a premium priority for these spaces will go to members who have paid their membership fees for 2014.  If, however, you haven’t paid up for 2014 I can add you to a waiting list in the interests of filling the dorm and the general principle of “the-more-the-merrier”. So, if you’re interested get your name down sharpish!

The price for a dorm room will be £15 which includes a pretty darned good breakfast on the Sunday.  You can either email me your interest (infoATgmbcDOTorgDOTuk) or, ideally, add it on to the original post so we have it all in one place, here:
