Aldi 2 bike stand for sale

Bought in error as it is not what I though, this is more of a storage stand that can also be used to work on bikes, but needs fixed to wall so rules it out of the spare room. Ideal for a garage or a room that has not just been decorated. It is unused, just built and then taken apart. Cost £30 but would take £20 if anyone wants it – they sold out really fast last month.

Here is the stand - bikes not included!

Firework Ride

Don’t forget the firework ride this Wednesday (2nd November).

Bring as many fireworks/sparklers as you can fit in your camelbak (or panniers if you’re feeling particulalry burny), and join us for a ride out to a mystery remote spot where we can let them off accompanied by some hot dogs and mulled wine (courtesy of GMBC).

Non (paid up!) members will be pushed off a cliff and/or burnt in a large doll fashioned from wicker.

Hope the weather’s decent!

Club Clothing Order Update

Hi all,

My apologies for the delay. Behind the scenes I have been trying to contact the owner of the company creating our tops. After several emails and one strongly worded complaints email, we are back on track with the order.

I have spoken with the owner today and been assured that I will have the tops in hand by the 22nd/23rd of November….just in time to hand out at the AGM on Wednesday 30th.

So, if you’re coming, please remember to bring your money and membership fee. If you can’t make it, I’ll keep them handy and give them out on Tues nite rides.

Regards

Barry

Pitlochry – Farragon Loop

pitlochry Farragon

This is a great 40km 4-5hr route about 90mins away from Glasgow. Navigation is easy, it is all weather, great scenery and Escape Route Bikes. Going clockwise, it begins with a fire road climb  out of Pitlochry, followed by a great single track descent all the way down into Strathtay. There is then a few kms of quiet C road  going up the Tay, look out for the red squirrels I saw 3 and also the turn off to the right to Aodin/Edradynate Estate. There is then a long rideable land rover track climb to the ridge. The pay back is good for a slightly more techy land rover track descent down to Loch  Tummel and then a chill out along the riverside back to Pitlochry.
