Matts Charity Birthday Ride

The ride is to raise funds & awareness for the Charity Little Hearts Matter. This Charity support families of children born with Single Ventrical Hearts.
Please checkout their website: www.lhm.org.uk

This is also a memorial thing for me as a close friend of ours lost her Daughter to Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrom (known as HLHS) at only seven and a half weeks.

Clydebank post done a write up on the ride, you can read the story here: http://www.clydebankpost.co.uk/news/roundup/articles/2014/06/09/500196-dad-to-take-on-100-mile-charity-ride-/

We have a justgiving page at www.justgiving.com/BonnieBubbles

We also have sponsors forms and LHM Badges for sale at £1 to raise extra funds, please email or facebook message me if you want to sponsor the ride, email or comment for badge requests or any more info.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, all & any support is greatly appreciated & helps so many people.

Borders Raid Weekend Away

It’ll appear on the calendar soon but we’re planning a weekend away down in the Borders on Sat 23rd and Sun 24th Aug.  The plan is to book hostel accommodation but space is limited so it’s on a first come first served basis.  We have 3 interested so far and the hostel said they only had 9 spaces so post up here if you want to come.  If you can post up in the next day or 2 that would be good.  If we have more people than spaces in the hostel then I can suggest a few campsites locally.  The plan is:

  • Innerleithen red trail on Saturday, but save some energy for….
  • A big natural ride near Selkirk on Sunday (red mainly, with some black sections)

Of course, if you can’t come for the weekend then just come along for one of the days.  NB: The Sunday ride will depart from Selkirk so allow plenty of time and it may be an early start to pack in all the trails.

Arran Weekend Trip – Last Places!

Hi,

There are three remaining places in the bunkhouse for the Arran trip on the 12th of September (calender link).

The bunkhouse is really comfortable and spacious so grab yourself a slice of luxury biking accomodation for only £36 for the weekend.

These places need to be filled so after next Friday (18th July) I will open any remaining places to non club members. So if you have friends or partners interested please let me know. You can either post on the calender page or drop me an email.

Introductory skills and advice night 23/7/15

Hey guys
We are planning another skills and top tips ride for the 23 July. Chris millar will be joining us agin and will be on hand to provide advice on riding, what to have in your pack and will also advice on how to perform trail side fixes to get you home in the event of a mechanical. We ran one of these a few months ago and got some great feedback. I will also be bringing my work stand and a few tools if anyone has any maintenance questions. Chris has worked in bike shops for many years and has great enthusiasm for riding in all disciplines and levels.

There is also going to be hot dogs back at the hall so I’d appreciate if you could post up if your coming so I know how much to provide. There may also be some cake.

If you want to know more feel free to text me on 07748646697

See you on the trails

Mid-week mini-adventure: Glentress (Thur 17th)

Glenn Luss, Cobbler, and now Glentress.  Don’t say GMBC doesn’t set you up with some cool-as-the-other-side-of-the-pillow midweek rides.

A few people on the intro rides, and on the Facebook, have asked about trail centre rides – so here you go. Plus, a Thursday evening makes a midweek evening into a sort of weekend day like some sort of magic.

Afterwards we can go and eat chips.
