Hi Folks.  To avoid a clash with SMBO and enduro events and so that we can meet up with friends from Walkers Cycling we’re moving the Big Annual Lakes Trip forward one week to the weekend of 19th & 20th October.  This is the same weekend that we did it last year.  The plan is to base ourselves in the Ambleside area.  We’ll be staying for the Friday and Saturday nights with a big ride on the Saturday and a 3-4hour ride on the Sunday.

For anyone who has already expressed an interest (Robin, Nick, Grant maybe) please can you check you’re free that weekend and let me know if you’re still interested?  And to anyone else who hasn’t committed yet now’s yer chance, if you can let me know by Thursday3rd October as I’ll be booking accommodation shortly after then.

The session we did in the spring was a success and I’d be happy to arrange one late Oct if there were a dozen or so up for it.  Target would be those who haven’t ridden the track before. Its a 1 hr coached slot, and everything is provided – bike, shoes, helmet.

If we can gauge interest, then can look at what dates are available and suit the majority.

Cost will be between £10 and £13 a head depending on numbers. We can get a max of around 15 folk on it, as a ‘Corporate Booking’

There was some talk of a Cathkin Braes ride at last night’s social – the current plan is to meet in the car park at Cathkin at 10:30 a.m., tomorrow (Sunday) – 22/9/2013. Leave a comment if you’re thinking of coming along.
