We have provisionally booked the hostel for the Friday, Saturday & Sunday night, but it’s only being held for a limited time.

We need you to confirm how may nights you’ll be staying and payment by Monday 1st October – please no later!

Remember – payment no later that Monday 1st October please – we need to pay the hostel in full shortly after this date.  Any payments or bookings after this date, will need to be done directly with the hostel and you may not be eligible for the £9 discount from the YHA Club Membership, so get booked up ASAP!

I’ll copy this link to Facebook so we don’t miss anyone out. Enjoy your trip!

*refund applications are filed in the bin 😉

GMBC Social & Leaving Do (Drygate)

We’ve organised a table for 20 folks in the Drygate Beerhall (upstairs in the Drygate pub) for an evening of socialising and getting talked into all sorts of crazy ideas for bike rides.  The pub is just off Duke Street, east of the High Street, near High Street station.  It’s got an amazing menu of beers and does food.

The table is reserved from 7pm.  The idea is that if you want food head along earlier.

Everyone is welcome – whether you’re a club member or not and it would be great to see some of the new members along to join in and meet fellow clubmates.

So who’s coming??

GMBC Social/Leaving Do: Fri 29th Aug

So, it’s been awhile since we’ve had a good old swally in the pub.  And, sadly, 3 long term club members are leaving for pastures new so we thought it was an ideal opportunity to get together and celebrate the start of some new adventures, whether you’re leaving Glasgow or not.

Tom & Ieva are moving through to start the Edinburgh chapter of GMBC (maybe) and skinny Simon is flitting to France where the sun shines all the time and drinking wine is a national sport (this should suit Simon no end!!).

The plan:

  • Where: Drygate Beerhall (upstairs), Drygate Brewing Co., 85 Drygate (we have a table booked for 20 people)
  • When: 7pm onwards
  • Who: open to all; new members, not-so-new members, partners/friends etc.
  • What: turn up, get food if you fancy that, get a drink, chat and be social.

So, who’s up for this??

Aviemore Weekend Away – Trip Report

With the weather improving during the week this weekend away was being hotly anticipated by all 23 people signed up for it.  And it didn’t disappoint!!  There was bucketloads of gorgeous sunny weather, fantastic trails to explore and a lot of laughs and good club spirit.  Thanks to everyone who came along and made it what it was.  And thanks to the organizers (Sam, Ryszard & Dawn), chefs (Ross, Paivi, Simon & Dave), washer-uppers (everyone else) and brownie slicer extraordinaire (Rueben).
