There was some interest in my recent lights purchase so I said I’d post up the details. You get a low weight light, enough lumens to comfortably see off road (the spot is a bit narrow but fine for helmet mounting). With just a little toggling between modes I was getting a 4 hour burn time. Price? £23. No, that’s not a typo! See link below.

There’s a few folk meeting Wed 9th at 7pm at the Stewart St car park for a medium paced ride for 2 to 2.5 hours should you wish to join us. This is not intended to replace the usual Wed 7:45 ride.
….just a few of the 8.4 billion photos I took over the weekend 🙂
Got to say, the techy boulder fest down the side of Yew Crag above Rosthwaite was the absolute dogs! Thanks to everyone – you all made it a fantastic weekend of riding in great weather and truly stunning surroundings!
Lately a few folk have expressed an interest in doing an Old Kilpatrick Hills ride. I’ll be doing an OKs loop on Wednesday, so if you want something a bit different from Mugdock then come along! Continue reading
Howdy folks!
There’s been some rumblings in the jungle (well, the trees around Mugdock) about the next night out. I was horrified to find out during the Aberfoyle ride today that Dawn/Ryszard and others did not know of these formidable plans! Ergo, the proposed time and venue are as follows: Continue reading
Calling all folks with the 30 quid deal extreme lights: I had my fairly new lights on charge in the office and they started putting out a lovely molten plastic smelling smoke. lucky I was sitting right bedside them at the time so I yanked the plug out the wall straight away! Hate to think what would’ve happened if I’d been out the office – or worse, charging them at home! They were being charged up from completely flat and I guess the charger just totally overheated, I think the battery is OK though. Needless to say they’ll be getting sent back.
I’ve had a couple of sets of the £50 jobs from deal extreme with no such problems, but if you own these cheaper ones beware of where and when you charge them!
Oh, and Merry Christmas everyone!!
Gavin 😀
The Aviemore weekender was definitely one of the best GMBC weekends ever. Great company, trails, weather, and bothy & pub madness! Did everyone hear about Barry's wee attempt to leave Earth's orbit at the Sluggangranish mega jumps beside the fire road? I think we were all surprised that he wasn't totally spangled after it. Luckily, I caught it on video whilst the local rock bad were playing somewhere through the trees. Hope your nerves have recovered Barry! Gavlar
