Since the weather is looking bliss and there’s been a lot of interest, I’m off to GT on Sunday morning. I aim to be there for 9.30am. I’m not fussed on routes, whether it’s the main trails or the route Sanny suggested.
The space in my car has been taken, but please post up if you can car share. Who else is joining me?

Its a pretty easy course and fantastically organised event. The sun usually shines (can’t promise that though) and the pit banter is great. Oh, and theres usually a bbq, beer and whisky there too. A team of 3 is great as you get a chance to refuel and you always have someone to chat to before your next lap. All the info’s here

The link to the calendar seems to have broken (possibly with the move to the new site). Tonight’s ride was down on the calendar as Carron Valley. Forestry Commission website says the trails have been cleared. Just wanted to check what tonight’s riders are doing so that some poor soul doesn’t end up at CV on their tod. Continue reading

The Oak Tree Inn in Balmaha have been in touch to say that, due to a cancellation, there is a 4 bed bunk room free for Saturday night. So if anybody not yet signed up fancies coming, move fast and you will still be able to make the ball!

I’m planning an easy ride out taking in the Mentieths and Glen Finglas Saturday… Are you interested? If so 9:30 at Aberfoyle Car park.
Bring a sandwich and waterproof etc.
Given that the weather has played havoc with so many forests and paths I’m planning a trip to the relative clear and well drained centre that is Glentress on Sunday. I’m heading down ready to ride for about 10.30 am. Do holler if you fancy it, the more the merrier. Probably riding a mixture of trails dependant on conditions etc. Meet you in the new caff.

So. It’s a new year (happy new year by the way!), a new season of biking is looming and my thoughts are turning to what I want to achieve in 2012.
