Sunday:  Local Ride, departs St Andrews Hall Car Park, Milngavie, 9am – or, alternatively, suggest a ride for Sunday.  It’s a bank holiday weekend so if you fancy a longer trip somewhere please post it up.

Saturday social ride

Hi all

As there was so much going on within the club at the minute I thought a timely reminder was in order, as regards, the Saturday social ride on the 4th of June.

This is a more the merrier ride.  There are no limitations on numbers, where you join the ride, where you leave the ride, how many coffee’s and scones you have, how many lunches you have or how much you may have to drink.

A reminder of the route.  Mostly off-road, leaving Milngavie at 10 heading to the Carbeth via various trails. From Carbeth to the Blane Valley Inn.  Then to Kincaid House Hotel Milton of Campsie from there to the Stables in Kirkie and finally finish off in the Torrance or Wheatsheaf Inn before returning, on a leasurly ride, on the back roads to Milngavie.

Sounds too good to miss.

Fynefest: Loch Fyne Beer, Food & Music Festival

Hi all,

I have mentioned this to a handful of members who all seemed quite keen.

http://www.fynefest.com/index.html

It’s the 2nd weekend of June, (Sat 11th & Sun 12th).  Tickets are only £8 and £10.50 for the camping ticket – that’s per tent and for the weekend.

I’m heading up early on the Saturday with a friend, we’re taking the bikes as I’ve been told there are some crakin’ rides around that area.  Also, can someone please give me some ride info on Auchindrain.

I hope to see more of you there, it could be a nice club weekend away…..Bevvy and Biking!

Thursday road ride – 12 May

Anybody planning to ride tomorrow? Weather depending should be up for either the regular local ride, or the (cough) unofficial southside ride 🙂

either way – will probably go straight from work in hamilton via train to milngavie or back to crookston for 6.30 hopefully. Will check back website to see what plans are – if any?… remember 10 under the ben is just over a week away, not so secret training needs to be stepped up!

Sunday ride in NW highlands… inspiration

Looking for some ideas for a ride  somewhere from about Rannoch Moor towards Fort William area, meeting a mate who is coming from Spean Bridge. Original plan was to check out the right of way from Ardgour to Strontian (not sure what this is like so would be a bit of a hike-a-bike ride). Otherwise old classic from Glencoe – devils staircase and maybe over to Fort William one-way (might be able to factor in 2 cars with my mate), or return road/trail from Kinlochleven. Any other ideas of good rides up in this area? plan to be out all day! I also have space for someone in the car if there are any takers – plan to leave from Crookston early to start ride up there before 9 hopefully.
