Club Clothing Order Form

The order form is now live!  Log in to gmbc.org.uk using your WordPress password to access it and place or confirm your orders.

Why do you need to log in to do this?  Because the form asks for contact email addresses and it allows you to see your orders and I didn’t want these details available to non-members/the public/the nefarious forces of evil on t’ internet.

GMBC on TV, tonight!

Hi folks, just heard from Barry that he’s been invited to appear on the Riverside Show tonight, on STV Glasgow, channel 23 on Freeview. Not sure exactly what time though. They’ll be showing our footage from the other week at Cathkin Braes (I assume). Set your digiboxes to record so you can have a giggle at some dodgy skillz. Hopefully it’ll be on STV player later to catch up with.

Arran Weekend Trip in September

Hi,

For any new members and people who missed it last time the club is running a weekend trip to Arran at the end of September:

Link to Calender

There are a few spaces left and there may be other places as people’s plan’s have changed since I posted it the first time. If you’re interested please post up on the calender page, email me or speak to me if you see me on a ride.

The riding on Arran is brilliant, and we will have sole use of the very nice National Trust Bunkhouse at Brodick. So it will be a fun social event too.

3 Peaks Cyclocross Entries Open

If anyone fancies this the entries are open until the 8th June (it’s not a first come first served, I think you have to be deemed worthy by the organisers).

Essentially it’s a big long cyclocross race over some hills in Yorkshire. I think the guy that’s won it the last few years is a fell runner first and foremost if that gives an idea what to expect.

Anyway, it should be fun. I can feel the pinch flats already.

Ride Report: TV Filming At Cathkin

Just over a week ago, Stuart, Iain, Gary, Matt, Barry and myself headed out to Cathkin Braes to meet up with STV to be filmed riding the Commonwealth MTB track.  Iain C did a great job using his knowledge of the trail to suggest where to film and Barry was on Go Pro duties.
