GMBC on TV, tonight!

Hi folks, just heard from Barry that he’s been invited to appear on the Riverside Show tonight, on STV Glasgow, channel 23 on Freeview. Not sure exactly what time though. They’ll be showing our footage from the other week at Cathkin Braes (I assume). Set your digiboxes to record so you can have a giggle at some dodgy skillz. Hopefully it’ll be on STV player later to catch up with.

Ride Report: TV Filming At Cathkin

Just over a week ago, Stuart, Iain, Gary, Matt, Barry and myself headed out to Cathkin Braes to meet up with STV to be filmed riding the Commonwealth MTB track.  Iain C did a great job using his knowledge of the trail to suggest where to film and Barry was on Go Pro duties.

Club Clothing Update

We had the club clothing launch at the hall last night and it was great to see so many old and new members up at the hall including a squad from Dales Cycles!  Thanks to Dales Cycles for bringing along a ton of cake too!  It seemed like the folks on both the Intro ride and Barry’s ride had a good time.  Thanks to all who came along.  For those who couldn’t make it here’s a wee summary of what was mentioned and what happens next:

Women Only: TV Advert Casting

Hi.  In the latest in a series of TV filming opportunities, we’ve been contacted by a TV production company looking for women cyclists to appear in an advert for Clydesdale Bank.  They would like to speak to anyone interested and get you in front of a camera.  The casting director asked if you could wear your cycling gear and have your bike with you.  It’s all very short notice as they would like to see people early next week so I’m trying to arrange some space up at the club hall on Mon, Tue or Wed evening next week for this.   The work is paid and the dates can be found below.  If you are interested then let me know ASAP either by posting up here or dropping me an email. Opportunity For Club Members

Quick note to all 2014 club members – we’re working on a promo video with a local TV channel.  Log into the website to see details but we’re needing riders to appear on camera, ideally you’ll have been involved in some club rides, weekends away or events and be keen to share your experiences of what it’s like to be part of the best mountain bike club in Glasgow.  If you’re interested then either add a comment to the original post or drop me an email.  Thanks.
