Hiya,
I’ve forgotton what my MTB looks like! Would really like to get away somewhere on sunday. Anyone else up for something? Maybe even a trail centre to keep away from the Mud? Not been to Ae for ages… but don’t really mind where.

Hi All,
Based on the levels of interest expressed for the 25th Anniversary Weekender in August (17th-19th), the committee has booked the hostel. Now we need to fill!! As you know, we need to atleast 20 people to commit to staying both nights, at a cost of approx. £20ppn. This will be dependant on the numbers and who commits.
Graham has created a fancy Google form for you to fill in. This will help us to not only work out number of beds required, but also asks for your ideas of activities you’d like to offered over the weekend.
If you wish to bring family, partners or children you will need to fill one out for each person in your group, but we can work out that you are together! The hostel does have some family rooms, which will be allocated on first come first term basic to those requiring them.
Due to the rapidly approaching date, we need everyone who wishes to come to fill the form in by Friday 13th July, to give us time to work out the payment details etc.
Let’s all make this a great 25th Anniversary- we should all have our tops by then! ;-))

So, does anyone fancy something other than Mugdock on sunday? not fussed where, although don’t fancy a very long drive! Maybe even just Dungoyne Ridge, or even an out and back to Conic Hill with a lunch stop at the Oak Tree?
Or, I’ll chuck Arran back into the mix…. weather not so great, so won’t be so busy…

Hi,
I’m going here with some friends in July, and thought it may appear to others. http://www.clova.com/clova-hotel-beer-festival.cfm
Options for some big rides one day- Dreish and Mayar Munroes, Jocks Road, Capel Mounth or Mount Keen not too fair away!
We’re planning one days big ride before beer!

Hi,
Just to let everyone know that due to the PITA BoS, the membership cheques have only just gone into the account. Sorry for the delay in cashing these, but wanted to give folks a heads-up they will come out of accounts shortly.
Thanks
Sam
Hi all,
The committee is looking for some repsonses to the ideas Graham posted under GMBC25 events. If we are going to arrange some of these things, we need to start booking (and paying) for them now. Please can you share your thoughts, ans suggest others if these don’t appeal. We’d rather arrange events and activities that you want!
Please get involved, have your day, and let’s make GMBC25 a year to remember!
thanks
the committee
Hi,
heading over to Arran for a couple of days next week, and wondered if anyone knows if there is an off-road route from Brodick to Lochranza? Thinking you could head towards Goat Fell, then over towards Glen Sannox…. anyone got an ideas?

Me and Graham are planning to do the Whangie tomorrow if anyone else not at work fancies it. Usual meet up, 10am.
Need to get away from the DIY and weather looks bright for tomorrow.
I am sure lunch in Bullands will be on the cards after…..

Graham reminded me that Alpines give club members free demo bikes. So, phoned up St. George’s store with my request for a full susser for GT on sunday. He phoned me back 10 mins later to say they have put aside a 2012 Trek Lush for me for the day! That’s £40 a day hire bike!
Can’t wait to try it out. And that’s covered my 2012 membership!!
Only down side is that i may like it too much!
