25th Weekender – Accommodation Payment & Update

Hi All,

The good news is there looks to be a great turn out for the weekend’s celebrations in August!! Last time we had said payment would be based on numbers coming, so taking this into account, plus the non-members who are coming, the costs are as follows:

How Much?
Members- £16 per person per night (which includes continental brekkie, remember!)

Non – Members- £20 per person per night (brekkie still included)

How to Pay
As the BACS payment system worked so well for the tops, we’d like to use the same process for this, including coding your payment with your name. The link below takes you to a speadsheet with the amount each person is due, once you’ve paid, if you can just indicate the date paid in the column. The BACS details will be sent out via email. To help us with organsing, can you please pay by FRIDAY 3rd AUGUST.

Some Spaces Left
There are still a few beds left, 2 on the saturday night, and 10 on the friday night. If you’d still like to come, please contact me directly via email – sammygrovesAThotmail.co.uk Or, if you think you may want to come for the day or BBQ on the saturday, we need to know by Friday 3rd. Again, just get in touch with me.
In addition to the club subsiding the accomodation, we also plan to contribute to the catering from club funds, including the BBQ planned for the saturday night. More details will follow from various committee members over the next couple of weeks, including asking for some help from those who offered.   Watch this space!
 Think that’s all folks!

25th Anniversary Weekender- Whose Coming?

Hi All,

Based on the levels of interest expressed for the 25th Anniversary Weekender in August (17th-19th), the committee has booked the hostel. Now we need to fill!!  As you know, we need to atleast 20 people to commit to staying both nights, at a cost of approx. £20ppn. This will be dependant on the numbers and who commits.

Graham has created a fancy Google form for you to fill in. This will help us to not only work out number of beds required, but also asks for your ideas of activities you’d like to offered over the weekend.

If you wish to bring family, partners or children you will need to fill one out for each person in your group, but we can work out that you are together! The hostel does have some family rooms, which will be allocated on first come first term basic to those requiring them.

Due to the rapidly approaching date, we need everyone who wishes to come to fill the form in by Friday 13th July, to give us time to work out the payment details etc.

Let’s all make this a great 25th Anniversary- we should all have our tops by then! ;-))

GMBC 25th Anniversary Events

Hi all,

The committee is looking for some repsonses to the ideas Graham posted under GMBC25 events. If we are going to arrange some of these things, we need to start booking (and paying) for them now. Please can you share your thoughts, ans suggest others if these don’t appeal. We’d rather arrange events and activities that you want!

Please get involved, have your day, and let’s make GMBC25 a year to remember!

thanks

A Very Good Reason to Join GMBC

Graham reminded me that Alpines give club members free demo bikes. So, phoned up St. George’s store with my request for a full susser for GT on sunday. He phoned me back 10 mins later to say they have put aside a 2012 Trek Lush for me for the day! That’s £40 a day hire bike!

Can’t wait to try it out. And that’s covered my 2012 membership!!

Only down side is that i may like it too much!
