Drumlanrig Ride Report (26/Feb/12)

I’m no meteorologist so I’ll decribe the recent weather as “kinda meh” – not sunny, not cold, not wet – just meh.  In search of dry trails we’ve done a few trips to GT in recent weeks and Mabie (originally on the calendar) is having some forestry work done so Drumlanrig seemed like a good choice to escape the local trails and get a trail centre fix yet still enjoy some natural feeling (and hopefully dry) trails. Local Ride Report Sun 26th

3 of us ventured out this morning on slippery trails around Mugdock, (Groundskeeper) John, his colleague Wallace and myself. We headed out around Dougalston around the reservoirs and then up towards Voodoo. As most regulars will know the muddy / boggy bits are v soft but we all kept going and no spills. Up snakey and through the country park for a coffee. The return took us out around the moor, avoiding the areas that are too soft and back to Milngavie after a squelch through ‘rocky rooty’.

HSE Approved Outdoor First Aid – Action required from you!

Okay folks,

My apologies but I have made a mistake with the cost.  I quoted £25 per person, which is correct, but I forgot to mention that they’ll be vat added to this, which equates to a fiver making it £30 course fee (the club will be invoiced & currently I am unsure if we can claim this back).  On top of this, I would require everyone to stump up an additional fiver for the trainer as he’s doing this out of his own time and not being paid by the company….hence the heavily reduced price.
