Thursday Road Ride anyone??
I’ve not yet managed to get out on my road bike since last year and since we’re having a spell of glorious weather….does anyone fancy a road ride this Thursday evening?
I’d be keen to set off prompt from the club car park at 6.30pm and be back about 8/8.30pm (I don’t fancy being out in the dark). Pace of the slowest rider.
I’ll also be out tomorrow night.
Trail Maintenance Report (24th March Session)
Yesterday saw a committed group of 10 volunteers from GMBC & Meet Up turn up for the latest trail maintenance session. The day’s work was again focused on the Riverside path as some of the earlier work needed improving now that we’ve learnt a bit more and the path has had some use since the it was first worked on.

Hi,
heading over to Arran for a couple of days next week, and wondered if anyone knows if there is an off-road route from Brodick to Lochranza? Thinking you could head towards Goat Fell, then over towards Glen Sannox…. anyone got an ideas?

Trail Maintenance Report (10th March Session)
Saturday 10th March saw 18 volunteers (a mix of GMBC, Meet Up and local riders) heading out to Drumclog car park to work on the next section of maintenance to the paths in Mugdock Park. The feedback from the Ranger from our first session was great – they’re very glad of the support we’re providing. Here’s what we got up to….. Continue reading
GMBC 25th Anniversary Events
As you may, or may not, be aware GMBC was born way back in the mists of time, sometime in 1987 – a time when mountain bikes were purple and Phil “Old Man” Draper was simply Phil Draper. Mountain biking has changed a lot in the last 25 years and the club will have evolved and changed as its members have come and gone. It’s a fantastic achievement that the club is still strong after all this time and it’s a fact worth celebrating.
Ben Venue – Sunday
Kev and I plan to do this on Sunday, who else is in? Are we leaving from Aberfoyle rather than the Ben Venue car park at Loch Achray? I know the route from Achray but not familiar with the one from Aberfoyle.
Can you confirm.
Cheers
D
