Club Clothing Update

We had the club clothing launch at the hall last night and it was great to see so many old and new members up at the hall including a squad from Dales Cycles!  Thanks to Dales Cycles for bringing along a ton of cake too!  It seemed like the folks on both the Intro ride and Barry’s ride had a good time.  Thanks to all who came along.  For those who couldn’t make it here’s a wee summary of what was mentioned and what happens next:

Saturday social

Blue sky and sunshine forecast for Saturday, so 10am at the club for those coming for breakfast at the Carbeth Inn at 11am. I phoned the Inn and bacon rolls, tea, coffee, Guinness will be on the menu from 11am. At a rough guess I would think lunch will prob be at the Swan Inn, Lennoxtown about 1.30 – 2pm for those joining later. 🙂

Saturday Social Ride

Short update for Sat 31st. I know the weather forecasts change quickly, but at the moment, this Saturday is showing blue sky, 2mph wind and 20*C, so look out your shades and tan cream and come along for a great day of cycling, chat, food and drink. Everyone is welcome, members, non members, newly joined and old heads. 10am depart from the clubhouse. See the original post for more details and I’ll post up again on Thursday night after a final weather check.

Muirshiel Country Park ride this Sunday 25/5/14

Hi everyone,
Having been off my mountain bike for nearly two months, I am planning to do a relatively long but non-technical mountain bike ride this Sunday. Ruairidh did this ride with me earlier in the year and I think it was quite a good day out.
Ideally we would meet in Bridge of Weir and make our way up to Muirshiel Country Park via Kilmacolm or take the scenic route (Bog) through Locher Wood.

Leave a comment or send me a text if you fancy coming along.

Menteiths- Ride Report

So, I am going to keep this short n’ sweet….especially as most of you know this route.

12 hardy soles decided to brave the micro-climate of Aberfoyle (it seemed to be sunny everywhere else) and set off on the usual route clockwise. As well as some new faces who have been enticed via Facebook (Jim and Thomas) we were also joined by a GMBC newbie, Neil, who would have been in his right to complain to trade descriptions…. it was not quite the introductory ride as described.
